If you haven’t already realised I’m a massive foodie, I love food, I think I should have been a chef, maybe in another lifetime.
I love cooking from scratch, but I don’t always have the time as I’m forever doing 500 things at once.
Many months ago I saw an ad for Simply Cook on Facebook or Instagram can’t remember which one so I decided to give it a try.
When the first package came, I put it away and forgot about it, until the next one and the next one after that, for 7 months I just keep putting away and not even thinking about them.
Then last November I decided that I needed to start using them as I was paying £9.99 a month.
The first dish I made was Vietnmanese Pork but as I don’t really like pork unless it bacon I used Chicken insted and it was so good, so you would have thought that after having such a good experience with the first recipe I’d be back in the kitchen trying out more of the recipes, well no I didn’t touch it again until this week when I decided to give it another ago.
The idea is pretty simple you get a box which is small enough to fit through your letterbox.
Inside the box, you have 4 boxes each with a different label which tells you what meal it is for.
You also receive 4 recipe cards which go with each pot.
On the cards is the break down of what you need.
Simply Cook gives you the spices which are needed to create the meal and you have to add the rest.
This time I decided I would make Spinach &
Paneer Halloumi Curry.
I replaced the Paneer with Halloumi for two simple reasons, I’ve never had Paneer before and didn’t want to make a meal with something I didn’t like also I always have Halloumi in my fridge it’s one of my main go too.
Because I’m trying to do Meat-less Mondays this was the perfect recipe for me to try.
Using Simple Cook could not be easier you just follow the recipe card and within 30 minutes you have a home cooked meal which tastes amazing.
One of the main reasons why I love Simply Cook is that the food does not taste like it’s out of a jar, it tastes like real home cooked food.
It enables you to cook fresh food fast, both meals I’ve tried so far have taken under 30 minutes which is ideal when you don’t have a lot of time.
I don’t really know what I was expecting when I started cooking this meal but it was so good.
I’ve been praising Simple Cook all day today.
One of the main reasons why I decided to try Simple Cook is the boxes you get are random, you can go on the website and edit your box, but I like the fact that I don’t know what I’m getting and most of the time the recipes I receive I have never made before or would not even think of making them.
I still have 33 more recipes to make LOL
