BOBO Social Review
It’s been awhile since I last did a review of a restaurant, but last night after a little retail therapy and a day of fasting I decided to go to the dark side and indulged in a Burger from BOBO Social. This was my first time visiting BOBO Social and I was not disappointed.
BOBO Social was not the easiest places to find, it’s on Charlotte Street which is about 4-minute walk from Goodge Street Station.
It’s relatively small but I do believe they have 3 floors but I’m not 100% sure on that.
As you can see from the picture above this is how big the place is, we were on the first table and there were 3 other tables.
The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful.
Now that we were seated it was time to decide what I wanted.
Now I wasn’t planning on getting a cocktail but after seeing a Cocktail named The Last Mexican you know I had to have it, I’m still not over Mexico what can I say.
The Last Mexican £9
Chilli-infused Mezcal, Kings Ginger Liquor, Lychee Liqueur, Lime Juice, Agave Syrup, Ginger Beer, Berries
This was a really good cocktail, it was fiery and very gingery if you’re not a ginger fan then I’d stay away. It was very easy to drink and my Mum even liked it which is rare as she doesn’t like the taste of Alcohol. so definitely a winner
Classic BOBO with Westcombe Cheddar & Guacamole £11.45
6oz Rare-Breed Beef, Butterhead Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, BOBO Sauce
When the Burger came out I was ready to dive right in I loved they had put a B on the Bun. Can I just say the Burger was amazing, I’m funny when it comes to Burgers I’m always craving them but find it hard to come across areal good one and this one was perfect.
One of my favourite place to grab a Burger is Five Guys, but I do fine they are really good but very greasy.
BOBO Social has made a burger which is succulent it almost melts in your mouth. It was very juicy but not greasy.
The Burger is pretty pink inside which I like but my Mum got the Mushroom & Truffle (V) as she can’t eat any meat if its still pink.
I did start off using my hands to eat the Burger but it got so messy that I ended up using the Knife & Fork LOL.
This was definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had in quite a while.
I would definitely recommend it
Skin-On BOBO Chips (GF, V) £3.50
These Chip came out piping hot just how I like them, they were cooked really good and has been seasoned which is never a bad thing, I find it really hard to eat Chips without condiments but I found these were pretty easy to eat.
The one thing negative I would add is they did not come out with my Burger we had to wait for them to be cook which is the only let down of the meal.
was I greedy, yes I was I couldn’t leave without trying a dessert
Milk & Dark Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel £5.50
I never thought I’d hear myself saying this but the dessert was too big that’s right it was too big.
I think because of the richness of the Dark Chocolate the dessert could have been half the size, taste wise it was sooooo good the sweetness of the Caramel complemented the bitterness of the Dark Chocolate, the two flavours married together so well.
Overal BOBO Social was amazing, I really enjoyed the food and would definitely go back again. I liked the little things like none of the dinner sets matched and the Chips were served in Mugs with there handles broken off. I like how personal it feels because it was so small and left you feeling really looked after. The only thing I didn’t like was that my Chips came out after my Burger. The food was moreish & filling.
If you want a good Burger than head over to BOBO Social.
