As you already know the plan for this year is to get out and try something new, this week I decided it was time to try some delicious dessert.
Because I love IG that is the place where I go if I’m looking for something to eat. I did a little London Dessert search and I kept coming across a place called Mamasons and it looked so yummy that I had to give try.
Currently, there are two Mamason in London, one in Kentish Town and one in Soho, we decided to go to the one in Soho so we could get dinner from China Town beforehand.
Mamasons is on Newport Court it not hard to miss with its Pink & Gold sign
So what is Mamasons? It’s a Filipino Ice-Cream Parlour.
Be warned it is small so don’t be surprised if there’s nowhere to sit, we were lucky as a group were leaving once we place our order.
The menu is in Filipino so you might have to ask for a little help but the staff were friendly and willing to answer any question we had.
After looking at the menu I still didn’t know what I wanted but looking at the counter I saw a Pie and asked what it was I was told Buko Crumble Pie so decided to go with that I was also told that the Black Buko Ice-Cream goes well with it so that was what I went for.
Buko Crumble Pie £7
A Slice of Buko Crumble Pie with an Ice-Cream Scoop of your choice.
So what is Buko Crumble Pie? It’s a Coconut Pie with Crumble on top
Black Buko Ice-Cream is Charcoal & Coconut Ice-Cream
The pie is served warm, so the Ice-Cream slightly melts onto the pie.
This Pie was good I mean really good, I mean OMFG good. I mean I want to eat this pie every day and not care how fat I get, good.
This is one of the nicest pies I’ve had in a long time.
If you love Coconut then you will love this pie, it’s sweet, but not overly sweet, the centre is melt in the mouth with the crust and topping giving it the depth.
The Black Buko is mild but at the same time still coconuttie with loads of flavour.
I mean heavenly
