One of the things I promised myself at the beginning of the year was to get out and do things this included trying out new restaurants and eating things I’d never eaten before.
That’s why on Saturday before I went to the Winter Lights I popped by China Town to enjoy some good food at Misato which is based on Wardour Street.
We arrived at 5:30 which was a good thing as when we got there, there was only 2 sets of people waiting to be seated before us, but by the time we left they
The interior is very simple with the tables almost on top of each other, we were so close to the table next to us that we ended up talking to the people at the next table which was quite nice as they were a friendly older couple.
As you can see Misato only takes cash, so make sure you get some before going.
The Menu had many options which meant it took a while to decide what I wanted, I’d already decided that I wasn’t going to go for something that I’d have all the time, the aim was to step out the box the only thing off limits was Salmon as I just don’t like it other than that I was open to trying something new.
First thing was Drinks I decided to go with Japanese Lemonade
Ramune Soda £2.50
Ramune means Lemonade in Japanese so that’s exactly what this is, but its really good Lemonade. I’m a massive Sprite fan, but this is way better, so good in fact, that after trying this we went and bought a few more bottles from a store in China Town.
Seafood Dumpling £3.50
6 Pieces of seafood dumpling
This Seafood Dumpling is oh so crispy and tasty, if you love seafood, then these are a definite go-go, dipped in the sweet chilli sauce is
Ebi Tempura Curry Udon £7.00
Thick white noodle in curry soup with prawn tempura
This was my first time trying Curry Udon and I was not disappointed. The portion size was big. I had two Prawn Tempura which
If you’re in the China Town area and are looking for somewhere to eat I’d definitely suggest Misato but get there early cos the queues get long, the food may be cheap but the food is good and plentiful so you won’t leave hungry. They only take cash which is a pain but luckily I always carry a little with me. The staff were friendly enough, but once you’ve finished your food they want the table back. Can’t wait to go back and try some more yummy food
Where should I go next?
