Tasty Tuesday: Reduced-Carbs Oatmeal w Banana Recipe
I love breakfast and am always on the look out for some new breakfast recipe. As I love breakfast, but it needs to be fast and easy as I’m not the best for time keeping.
For me, breakfast needs to be filling its the first meal of the day and like it says your breaking your fast.
The ideal breakfast recipe is fast and easy, as no matter what time I get up, I’m always running late.
At the moment the weather is so cold, that I want something which is hot and filling.
After my morning HIIT session, I will eat something slightly high in carbs to get me going.
The past week I’ve been playing around with Joe Wicks Lean In 15 Cinnamon Reduced-Carbs Oatmeal.
Tried it a few times with the original recipe but for me it was missing something, I liked it but it just wasn’t doing it for me.
So I began playing around with the recipe to make it more to my taste.
So here is my version
- 22g Chia Seed
- 22g Golden Linseed
- 40g Desiccated Coconut
- 30g Jumbo Rolled Oats
- 350ml Milk
- 1Tbsp Honey
- 2 Tbsp Cherry Yoghurt
- 1/2 Sliced Banana
- Place all ingredients into a saucepan except the Yoghurt & Banana
- Cook on a low heat for 5 minutes
- Place into a bowl and add a generous amount of Yoghurt and add the sliced Banana
